Batman is a character we carry around in our heads - even as adults - when we ask ourselves what's right, what's wrong, and what justice really looks like. What makes him even more special is that Batman is a character with an ethos: he views the world in a certain way and thinks a lot about the morality of his decisions. Losing Kevin wasn't like losing any other celebrity - his work on Batman has a direct line to my childhood. In a previous letter in the series, you talked about how Batman: The Animated Series changed your view of storytelling. Included at the back of this issue is a tribute to the late, legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy. I also love episodes like "Splicers" and "Earth Mover," as well as the character Max, but there really wasn't time to use those elements. Yes, Return of the Joker was really the biggest one, along with the intro episodes to the series.
